Job Description
NOV Company is hiring an enthusiastic Entry-Level DevOps Engineer to support modern development, automation, and cloud-based system operations. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates who enjoy coding, problem-solving, and learning new technologies in a real production environment.
As an Entry-Level DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with senior engineers to design, automate, and maintain systems that support the entire software delivery lifecycle. This role is perfect for candidates eager to grow in cloud engineering, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments
- Work closely with developers and QA teams to ensure smooth integration and release workflows
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application issues
- Learn and implement best practices in automation, version control, and containerization
- Contribute to documentation, process improvements, and DevOps tool adoption
- Research and explore new technologies to enhance engineering workflows
- Work on real-world infrastructure, cloud, and automation projects
- Participate in a collaborative environment and gain hands-on mentorship
- Grow your skills across cloud technologies, observability, scripting, and DevOps tools
Requirements
NOV does not expect candidates to know everything — the priority is curiosity, willingness to learn, and problem-solving ability.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
Technical Exposure (Any of the following)
- Programming/scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
- Source control using Git or GitHub
- Basics of networking and system communication
- Cloud fundamentals (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Databases and basic SQL query skills
- Containerization basics (Docker)
- Debugging and troubleshooting experience from projects or internships
- Experience working in teams (college projects, open-source, hackathons)
Nice to Have
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines
- Understanding of monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog
- Interest in automation, cloud infrastructure, and system reliability
