RChilli Inc. – Fresher System & Security Engineer (DevOps)

RChilli Inc. is seeking a motivated System & Security Engineer (DevOps) to assist in managing IT infrastructure, ensuring security, reliability, and operational efficiency across systems and networks.

This position is ideal for candidates with a foundational understanding of system administration, Linux operations, and IT security, looking to advance their career in a dynamic technology environment

• Assist in configuring and monitoring Unifi (USG) for internet security, VPN, IDS/IPS, and traffic management.
• Coordinate with Airtel, Connect, and Jio broadband vendors to maintain reliable connectivity.
• Support internal LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting, access point configuration, and IP management.
• Monitor network health, bandwidth usage, and connectivity alerts.

2. System Administration

• Provide first-level IT support through the Service Desk Tool.
• Maintain asset inventory, patching schedules, and software installations via ManageEngine Endpoint.
• Support workstation, laptop, and peripheral setup and maintenance.
• Use Prey Inc. for endpoint tracking and device recovery.

3. Linux Administration

• Work with Linux-based systems for server administration and troubleshooting.
• Perform command-line operations such as user management, file permissions, log analysis, and cron jobs.
• Monitor and maintain servers hosted on GCP or AWS.
• Apply patches, perform backups, and implement security hardening.

4. Security & Access Management

• Manage credentials securely using 1Password.
• Maintain user access, MFA, and SSO across platforms like G Suite, Bitbucket, Jira, and Zoom.
• Monitor Teramind dashboards for policy compliance and alerts.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments using Burp Suite and remediation of identified issues.

5. Cloud & Application Support

• Support repository access management in Bitbucket and deployment coordination.
• Monitor GCP/OCI resources, review IAM policies, and maintain secure configurations.
• Ensure cloud instance and API endpoint security.

6. Collaboration Tools & IT Support

• Manage user access in G Suite, SharePoint, Whale, Jira, and Zoom.
• Provide onboarding IT setup support for new employees.
• Ensure adherence to RChilli’s IT and Security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional certifications are an added advantage.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• 0–2 years of experience in IT Support, System Administration, or Security Operations.
• Basic knowledge of Linux commands and system troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Experience using ticketing tools (ServiceDesk) and ManageEngine Endpoint.
• Understanding of security practices like MFA, DLP, and password management.
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities.
