Scrumconnect Limited is Hiring Junior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to support the migration of multiple applications and services into a new AWS environment. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, knowledge of DevOps best practices, and strong collaboration skills.

You’ll work closely with architects and leads to design and execute cloud-native solutions with a focus on automation, scalability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute migration processes into AWS (including Amazon EKS).
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (with security & scalability in mind).
• Integrate SonarQube, Nexus/Artifactory into pipelines.
• Manage AWS IAM roles, secure access, and container-based identity.
• Create/manage Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Handle data migrations (S3, PostgreSQL, RDS, etc.) with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure & deployment issues.
• Mentor and guide other DevOps engineers.

Required Skills & Expertise

CI/CD & DevOps Tools

• Jenkins (DSL), SonarQube, Nexus/Artifactory
• Git & version control best practices
• Shell scripting, Python (YAML/JSON handling)

Containers & Kubernetes

• Docker (multi-stage builds, non-root containers, troubleshooting)
• Kubernetes (services, ingress, RBAC, Helm, DNS)

Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)

• EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, Secrets Manager, Route 53, WAF, KMS, RDS, VPC, Load Balancers
• IAM roles, workload identities, secure access patterns
• Networking fundamentals (subnets, TLS/SSL, CA certs, DNS routing)

Databases

• PostgreSQL (pg_dump/pg_restore, user management, RDS troubleshooting)

Web & Security Concepts

• NGINX, reverse proxies, load balancing, RBAC
• Security best practices (OWASP Top 10, IAM policies, WAF)

Candidate Expectations

• Explain CI/CD pipeline best practices & secure AWS integrations.
• Strong in Bash/Python scripting for automation.
• Container lifecycle management & troubleshooting.
• Kubernetes & Helm chart design knowledge.
• Deep understanding of AWS IAM, networking, TLS certs.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (or equivalent).
• Experience in FinTech, SaaS, or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, ITIL, ISO 20000.
