Seagate Hiring: Intern – Machine Learning (Generative AI)

Seagate’s Global Data Analytics team delivers solutions for Big Data, Generative AI, and MLOps deployments. We are a proactive, collaborative, solution-focused team partnering across the organization to build scalable, end-to-end analytics platforms.

• Develop and optimize Large Language Model (LLM) based solutions to transform business operations.
• Work as part of a 6-8 member product team including Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Platform Engineers.
• Leverage commercial LLMs (Azure OpenAI) and open-source LLMs (e.g., LLaMA) to enhance business workflows.
• Seamlessly integrate LLMs with existing platforms and infrastructure.
• Build scalable data pipelines and collaborate on ML model development.
• Design and implement tools for the full MLOps lifecycle: development, deployment, serving, monitoring, and experimentation.
• Partner with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Business SMEs to deliver robust analytics platforms.

• Passionate about Generative AI and innovation in HiTech and Manufacturing Analytics.
• Strong desire for continuous learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, with effective time management and communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships and promote team ownership and collaboration.

Your Experience Includes

• Hands-on or research experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Extensive understanding and experience with Generative AI techniques and tools.
• Strong programming background in Python.
• Familiarity with SQL for data manipulation.
• Deep working knowledge of TensorFlow or PyTorch for model training and deployment.
• Solid understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and core principles.
