Security Research Engineer

A Security Research Engineer will join the security research and development team. This role involves researching the latest vulnerabilities, developing security content, and identifying ways to fix or mitigate security vulnerabilities.

A primary expectation is a genuine interest in Information Security and Security Content Research & Development. Prior exposure to SCAP standards, security tool development, community participation, or security-related projects is an added advantage but not mandatory.

• Research and develop vulnerability detection scripts for the latest security vulnerabilities.
• Identify ways to fix or mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Create remediation scripts using Bash, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Perform peer testing and QA for developed content.
• Automate repetitive tasks using Python or other scripting languages.
• Write technical blogs/articles on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
• Develop security tools.

Skills Requirements

• Passionate about cybersecurity.
• Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of Operating Systems, Networking, and Computer Systems.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred).
• Familiarity with Unix, Linux, Windows, Mac systems, and Virtualization.
• Good communication skills (verbal & written in English).
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to stay updated with evolving security technologies.
• Attention to detail and a challenge-driven mindset.

Education

• UG: Any Graduate, B.Tech/B.E. in Any Specialization.
• PG: Any Postgraduate.
