Job Description

Setu is hiring a DevOps Engineer I to help build, automate, secure, and operate the cloud infrastructure powering India's digital financial ecosystem.

The role focuses on designing and managing AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, operating containerized workloads on Amazon EKS/ECS, and building modern CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and GitOps workflows with Flux CD.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work on cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, observability, security, and production reliability. You will improve monitoring, logging, and alerting while automating operational tasks using Python, Bash, or Go.

The role also involves implementing DevSecOps practices, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, cloud security, and secure infrastructure design. You will troubleshoot production issues, improve platform reliability, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve developer productivity and deployment workflows.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with 2–4 years of experience who want to work with modern AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, and DevSecOps technologies in a financial technology environment.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD.
  • Experience managing Kubernetes workloads using Amazon EKS or ECS.
  • Strong understanding of Linux, networking, containers, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
  • Knowledge of Flux CD is preferred.
  • Experience with infrastructure and operational automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and cloud observability.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.
  • Knowledge of secrets management and vulnerability scanning.
  • Familiarity with AWS security services such as GuardDuty, Inspector, IAM, and WAF is preferred.
  • Exposure to ClickHouse, VictoriaMetrics, Thanos, or OpenSearch is an advantage.
  • Experience working in SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliant environments is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and production incident-resolution skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering and platform teams.
  • Strong interest in automation, reliability, security, and modern cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
