As an SDE I – DevOps Engineer, you’ll work on secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure to support SAFE’s digital risk management platform. This role provides hands-on experience with automation, CI/CD, cloud optimization, and infrastructure as code, ideal for early-career DevOps professionals (1–3 years experience) passionate about continuous improvement and system reliability.
Requirements
- CI/CD Pipeline Support: Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and other tools.
- Automation & DevOps Tooling: Implement automated infrastructure provisioning and deployments with Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage AWS-based infrastructure, including Dockerized microservices on ECS or Kubernetes.
- Monitoring & Observability: Set up and manage monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) to ensure system performance.
- Incident Response: Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and postmortems to enhance reliability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and operations teams to promote DevOps best practices.
- Cloud Cost Optimization: Track resource usage and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging DevOps tools and cloud computing trends.
Qualifications & Essential Skills
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure-focused roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure, with understanding of cloud architectures.
- Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Experience with Docker and basic container orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic).
- Understanding of microservices and at least one message broker (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Exposure to SQL or NoSQL databases and basic performance optimization.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting).
- Exposure to data pipelines and AI/ML model deployment.
- Interest in cloud cost governance and optimization tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth).
