Job Summary
As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for developing, testing, and debugging the Virtualization Provisioning on-prem product, including the underlying operating systems and file systems for NetApp storage applications. The focus is on technology advancements, product quality, cost efficiency, and time-to-market.
Join the Virtualization Provisioning and Protection team within the NetApp ONTAP Unified Manageability Framework Engineering BU for an exciting journey. This team is building a highly scalable architecture for enterprise virtualization provisioning, working across on-prem and cloud environments.
Requirements
- Develop and enhance enterprise virtualization provisioning and protection solutions.
- Build horizontally scalable architectures for large enterprise customers.
- Work with Kubernetes, Python, Ansible, Helm charts, and Operator SDK.
- Utilize Docker containers, REST API concepts, and automation tools.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to ensure high-quality product development.
- Follow agile development models and best software engineering practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, Python, Ansible, Helm charts, and Operator SDK.
- Experience with Perl and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of Java or Golang is a plus.
- Understanding of Docker containers and REST API concepts.
- Exposure to storage technologies and VMware virtualization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of computer architecture.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software development.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
