Role Overview

The ESM R&D team is seeking an experienced Performance Engineer to join the Global R&D team and help deliver innovative enterprise software solutions. You will work in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment with enterprise-class customers across the globe, using microservices architecture based on Kubernetes and Docker containers.

• Performance Testing & Optimization: Conduct performance testing, profiling, and benchmarking for new and existing products and services.
• Bottleneck Identification: Work with development teams to identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization solutions.
• Testing Strategies: Develop and execute load, stress, and scalability tests to ensure systems can handle high traffic and user loads.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to define performance goals and ensure performance considerations throughout development.
• Automation & Tools: Build and maintain automated performance testing frameworks, tools, and continuously monitor system performance.
• Reporting & Analysis: Generate detailed performance reports, providing recommendations and root cause analysis for performance issues.
• System Tuning: Perform performance tuning for databases, servers, and cloud services.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging performance testing tools and methodologies and drive their adoption.

Requirements for Success

• Experience with Testing Tools: Proficiency in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, NeoLoad, or similar.
• Monitoring Tools: Knowledge of monitoring tools (Yourkit, VirtualVM, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic) and leveraging them for performance insights.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or Selenium for automation and scripting.
• CI/CD & Automation: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and integrating performance testing into automated workflows.
• Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to provide actionable insights from complex data.
