Systems Development Engineer – Amazon Business

Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join the Amazon Business team. This role involves building and evolving scalable infrastructure, developing automation frameworks, and leveraging Generative AI to accelerate system design, development, and operations.

As part of this role, you will lead independent projects, collaborate on strategic initiatives, and implement intelligent automation to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability across Amazon’s software ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Develop applications and automated processes for efficiency and reliability.
• Use Generative AI to improve code quality, automation, and problem-solving.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and build automation processes.
• Drive improvements in system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure and application initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

• Proven experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• Hands-on expertise in automating development, testing, and operations workflows.
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language such as Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
• Knowledge of distributed computing and scalable system architecture.
• Strong background in system design, reliability, and scalability patterns.
