Job Description
TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT) is the gateway to launching a technology career at TCS. The test follows an integrated pattern, allowing candidates to qualify for different hiring categories: Prime, Digital, and Ninja. The final offer category is determined based on overall performance in the selection process.
Registration Details
- Registration End Date: Sunday, 23rd March 2025
- Test Date: Saturday, 15th March 2025 onwards
Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Highest Qualification: Candidates graduating in 2025 with B.Tech, B.E, M.Tech, M.E, MCA, M.Sc, or M.S from AICTE/UGC-recognized universities/colleges.
- Academic Aggregate: Minimum 60% or equivalent CGPA in 10th, 12th, Diploma (if applicable), Graduation, and Post-Graduation (if applicable).
- Backlogs: No pending backlogs at the time of appearing for the selection process.
- Extended Education: Not allowed; candidates must complete the course within the stipulated duration.
- Gap in Education: Must not exceed 24 months and should be documented.
- Course Type: Only full-time courses are considered (no part-time/correspondence courses).
- Open Schooling: Candidates who completed secondary/senior secondary via NIOS are eligible if their higher education was full-time.
- Work Experience: Up to 2 years of prior experience is allowed (for post-graduate candidates).
- Age Limit: 18 to 28 years.

- UG Offer: ₹9.0 LPA
- PG Offer: ₹11.5 LPA

- PG Offer: ₹7.3 LPA
- Solution development, modern technology integration, and tech framework development.

- UG Offer: ₹3.36 LPA
- PG Offer: ₹3.53 LPA
- Application development, system engineering, and next-gen technology exploration.
Application Process
- Log in to the TCS NextStep Portal.
- Register and Apply for the Drive.
- Scenario A: Already registered users in the IT category can log in with their TCS Reference ID (CT/DT reference number), complete the application, and click "Apply For Drive".
- Scenario B: New users should select "Register Now", choose the IT category, fill in details, submit, and click "Apply For Drive".
- Select In-center mode of the test, choose three preferred test centers, and click "Apply".
- Check "Track Your Application" to confirm the status as "Applied for Drive".
Test Structure
- TCS NQT is conducted at TCS iON Centers.
- Two Sections: Foundation & Advanced.
- The Advanced section is mandatory for candidates aspiring for Digital or Prime offers.
