Trainee – AI/ML & Data Science
Job Description
Red Hat Global Support Services is seeking a motivated and passionate Trainee eager to learn about AI/ML, Data Science, and deploy solutions to modernize platforms and tooling. This is an ideal opportunity for fresh graduates to gain real-world experience in AI/ML, NLP, and cloud deployment.
At the end of 6 months, successful trainees will transition into the Associate Data Scientist role, where they will work on implementing AI/ML solutions, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to RHEL AI (Red Hat’s Generative AI platform).
Requirements
- Complete AI/ML & Data Science training provided by Red Hat.
- Work on efficiency projects related to AI/ML.
- Develop prototypes for innovation in AI.
- Learn and contribute to Red Hat technologies such as RHEL AI.
- Implement AI/ML solutions and troubleshoot deployment issues.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering teams, and Red Hat partners.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related fields.
- Fundamental NLP concepts and experience with NLP libraries (SpaCy, NLTK, etc.).
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy.
- Understanding of AI hardware accelerators like GPUs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for AI model deployment.
- Basic understanding of AI Ethics and Responsible AI development.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English.
- Ability to work independently and in a globally distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
- Hands-on AI/ML project experience (university or personal level).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices for AI/ML deployment (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience contributing to open-source AI/ML projects (GitHub, GitLab, etc.).
- Understanding of Generative AI & LLMs (Transformers, Attention Mechanisms, Model Fine-tuning).
- Experience in building & deploying ML models (Regression, Classification, Forecasting).
