Upland Software Hiring Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer – Remote

We are hiring a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Operations Team. In this role, you’ll manage large-scale cloud applications and bring automation and reliability to our global SaaS infrastructure. If you’re passionate about AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and DevOps automation, this role is for you.
Requirements
- Manage and monitor high-availability production cloud systems (24x7).
- Automate repetitive tasks for improved efficiency using scripts, Lambda, or other tools.
- Design, install, and configure servers in physical and cloud environments.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to support customer-facing applications.
- Optimize system performance and prevent/resolve production incidents.
- Support change, incident, and problem management programs.
- Document system configurations and infrastructure architecture.
- Act as a technical escalation point for internal support teams.
- Advise product and engineering teams on DevOps best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- 7–9 years of total experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure.
- Expert-level experience in AWS (EKS, ECS, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, KMS, etc.).
- Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux administration.
- Advanced experience with Terraform (IaC); Ansible is a bonus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.
- Strong background in scripting using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty.
- Solid understanding of AWS security and networking fundamentals.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications and automating deployment workflows.
- Preferred: Java development experience and Windows OS familiarity.

- Comfortable working in remote-first environments with minimal supervision.
- Adaptability and creativity in solving complex cloud infrastructure challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Proven success as a DevOps Engineer in AWS-centric SaaS environments.
