Job Description

VT Netzwelt, a reputed Indo-German IT services firm with a global presence across AUS, USA, UK, and Europe, is looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join its Mohali office. In this role, you will support cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployments, monitoring, and automation across multiple projects. Requirements


Responsibilities

  • Assist with cloud infrastructure setup and application deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Configure and maintain web servers (Nginx, Apache) for secure and optimized hosting.
  • Create, update, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Support deployments for full-stack apps, e-commerce platforms, and mobile solutions.
  • Participate in infrastructure audits, generate health check reports, and support compliance.
  • Monitor system performance, proactively identify issues, and ensure uptime.
  • Perform routine server maintenance, including OS patching and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team on daily operations and incident response.
  • Contribute to automation using scripting (Shell, Python) and integration tools.
  • Document processes, including BRD, FRD, and wireframes.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Graduation in Computer Science, IT, or related field (B.Tech, B.E., MCA, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of web servers (Nginx, Apache) and hosting best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Familiarity with deployments across different application frameworks.
  • Understanding of Linux OS, volumes/storage, networking, and firewall rules.
  • Scripting skills in Shell, Python, or similar.
  • Experience with Docker and familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with configuration management / IaC tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Familiarity with tools like SonarQube, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
