Job Description

ZipNom Technologies is looking for a results-driven DevOps Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to build and manage CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment processes across a modern JavaScript/Python tech stack. This fully remote role emphasizes automation, containerization, and cloud-native operations on AWS.

Requirements


Responsibilities

  • Design, automate, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Provision and maintain AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, Route 53) with a focus on high availability and cost-efficiency
  • Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes (including Helm, rolling updates, zero-downtime deployments)
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Configure monitoring and logging via Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK/EFK stack
  • Ensure end-to-end environment security including SSL/TLS, vulnerability scans, PCI-DSS compliance, and OS/container hardening
  • Automate packaging and distribution of desktop apps (electron-builder, code signing, auto-updates)
  • Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and improving service-level objectives (SLOs)
  • Work closely with development, QA, and product teams in an agile remote setup

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of hands-on DevOps or SRE experience
  • Strong command of AWS core services (EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)
  • Solid Docker skills and Kubernetes fundamentals (deployments, services, ingress, config maps)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
  • Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Linux system administration, networking (NGINX/Traefik), and scripting in Bash or Python
  • Familiarity with Git workflows and agile methodologies
  • Understanding of container security, IAM best practices, and secrets management

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Helm, Argo CD, or Flux for GitOps
  • Desktop app build and release automation (NSIS, AppImage, DMG)
  • Exposure to GCP, Azure, or multi-cloud strategies
  • Familiarity with cost monitoring tools like AWS Cost Explorer or CloudZero
  • Observability-as-Code, autoscaling with Karpenter or KEDA, error tracking with Sentry
